No Smoking Signage and Smoking Ban Signs.

The new no smoking laws state that no smoking signs must be displayed in a prominent position at every entrance to the smoke free premises. Signs must meet a certain set of requirements, these requirements are:

• The new no smoking laws and legislations state that the area of no smoking signs must be a minimum of A5.
• The international no smoking symbol must display the at least 70mm in diameter on the no smoking sign.
• No smoking signage must clearly display: No smoking. It is against the law to smoke in these premises.

Some providers of smoking ban products allow you to personalise your no smoking signage by altering the text ‘these premises’ to make the no smoking sign bespoke to your business.

No smoking signs for entrances to smoke free premises must bear the international no smoking symbol displayed with at least a 70mm diameter, may instead be displayed provided they either only be used by members of staff (providing the premises displays at least one A5 area sign with words, as set out as above) or are located within larger smoke free premises (for example, a shop within a indoor shopping centre.)
